This week with the Ferst Foundation was similar to the past weeks. We had our community action team, which introduced new members with the organization. The website was updated with the new additions to the team.

We initially planned a social media campaign to promote our organization and to direct donations. I was very excited to begin the campaign. I had ideas like creating ads highlighting our mission. Each ad would be done every week leading up to #GivingTuesday. #GivingTuesday is on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving to kick start the holiday giving season. We ran into a difficult due to the organization not having a 501c; however, the main organization does. After talking to headquarters, we weren’t able to organize the campaign because the low reception in the past. We postponing the social media campaign to the end of the year in order to coincide with our end of year appeal.
