This week I learned about the website. I learned what stories go on the website, how to write a story for the website, and the ins and outs of posting information and stories. I had to start by finding stories that should be on the website, even if not on the news show.
The website stories have different criteria than stories on air. Stories on the website need to be relevant to the location the news station covers. In the case of WLTZ, the website stories are about Georgia and Alabama. I found a story about the Alabama governor and two car crashes: one in Alabama and one in Georgia.
After finding the stories, I worked on writing and editing. Some of my stories made it to the main page of the website.
