This semester I’m taking Dr. Chris McCollough’s PR Campaigns class. In his words, “the only way to learn about PR campaigns is to do one.” The entire class froze in fear at those words but Dr. McCollough reassured us that we would be fine. He then asked for 5-6 of us to volunteer to be CEO of our teams by staying after class. I chose to stay.
I was nervous but excited for the opportunity. The following weeks saw us picking team members, branding our teams and writing pitch letters to clients. My team, OneSource, was chosen to work for the Muscogee County Ferst Foundation for Childhood Literacy with Warren Steele as our client contact.
We hope to find a way to raise awareness and funds for the Ferst Foundation. Make sure you like their Facebook page!
